Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 29, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how TrendCircuit (“TrendCircuit”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you visit https://www.trendcircuit.io (the “Site”), subscribe to our newsletter, or contact us. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Who we are
TrendCircuit is a publication covering technology, AI, and open source. For any privacy questions or requests, you can reach us at contact@trendcircuit.com.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide to us
- Newsletter: when you subscribe, we collect your email address.
- Contact form: when you contact us, we collect your name, email address, and the contents of your message.
Information collected automatically
- Usage and device data: if you consent to analytics, we collect information such as the pages you view, referring pages, approximate location (derived from your IP address), browser and device type, and how you interact with the Site (for example, which links you click).
- Server and security logs: our hosting and security provider (Cloudflare) automatically processes technical data such as IP addresses and request metadata to deliver and protect the Site.
3. Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies only where appropriate. Strictly necessary technologies (such as remembering your cookie choice) are always active. Analytics cookies are off by default and are only set after you accept them via our consent banner.
When you first visit, we ask for your consent through a banner. Until you accept, our analytics provider runs in a privacy-preserving mode that does not store cookies or identifiers on your device. You can change your decision at any time by clearing your browser’s site data for TrendCircuit, which will cause the banner to appear again.
4. Analytics
With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4, a service provided by Google LLC, to understand how the Site is used so we can improve it. Google Analytics may set cookies and process usage data on our behalf. We have enabled Google Consent Mode, so no analytics cookies or identifiers are stored before you consent.
For more information, see Google’s Privacy Policy. You can also opt out of Google Analytics across all websites by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
5. Spam protection
Our newsletter and contact forms are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile to prevent abuse and automated submissions. Turnstile may process technical signals from your browser to verify that you are a human. See Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy for details.
6. How we use your information
- To send you our newsletter (if you subscribed) and respond to your messages.
- To operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site.
- To understand aggregate usage and content performance (with your consent).
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
7. Legal bases for processing (EEA/UK)
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on the following legal bases:
- Consent — for analytics cookies and for sending you our newsletter. You may withdraw consent at any time.
- Legitimate interests — for operating and securing the Site and responding to your enquiries.
- Legal obligation — where we must process data to comply with the law.
8. Affiliate links and advertising
Some articles contain affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. Clicking an affiliate link may cause the destination merchant to set its own cookies, which are governed by that merchant’s privacy policy, not ours. See our Terms of Use for our full affiliate disclosure.
9. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers who help us operate the Site, and only as needed to provide their services. These include:
- Cloudflare — hosting, content delivery, security, and spam protection.
- Google — analytics (with your consent).
- Our email/newsletter delivery infrastructure, used to send the messages you sign up for.
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
10. Data retention
We keep newsletter subscriptions until you unsubscribe. Contact messages are retained only as long as needed to handle your enquiry and for our records. Analytics data is retained according to our Google Analytics settings.
11. International data transfers
Our service providers may process data in countries outside your own, including the United States. Where required, these transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
12. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information; to object to or restrict certain processing; and to withdraw consent. If you are a California resident, you have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know, delete, and opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information — note that we do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined under that law.
You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in any email. To exercise any other right, contact us at contact@trendcircuit.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
13. Children’s privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us.
14. Third-party links
The Site links to third-party websites we do not control. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices, and we encourage you to review their policies.
15. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes may be highlighted on the Site.
